MKNA Awards Grant to Garden Group
The Riviera Club Foundation is proud to be among the recipients of the 2026 Meridian-Kessler Neighborhood Association Vi Walker Neighborhood Grant Program, receiving $650 to support the Riviera Garden Group and its community gardening program.
The Riviera Garden Group has transformed a corner of the Rivi into much more than a garden. It serves as an outdoor classroom where young people learn about gardening, growing food and healthy cooking… while also helping provide fresh produce to neighbors in our community.
In 2025 alone, the garden provided 902 pounds of fresh produce to Boulevard Place Food Pantry. Grant funding will help provide gardening supplies and programming for students from partners such as Coburn Place, SHEroes and Freewheelin’ Community Bikes.
The Foundation and its gardening program were also featured in the summer issue of MKNA’s Spark magazine.
We’re grateful to the Meridian-Kessler Neighborhood Association for recognizing the work of our volunteers and supporting a program that brings together education, healthy food and community service.
